I'll be packing for about the 43rd time in the past three years.
But I found a GREAT two bedroom apt in Reston VA! Pretty psyched about it.
Might just leave ALL of my crap right here and just f'in start over, except for my giant TV.
I miss the duffle bag, suitcase, box of old pics days.

That's cool man in 2018 I won an award and got a paid trip to reston to the USGS headquarters to meet the usgs director.
Didn't really care about the award but the free trip was tight. I went out to eat a few times and watched the playoffs caps game at a sports bar. It was the year they won.

For almost 10 years of my 20s I limited my possessions to what I could fit in my car or trash.
I didn't like where I was at and didn't want to be stuck to stuff

Also funny cause when I did move my 800 dollar TV took my entire back seat.
Most expensive and largest thing I had.
TVs are not worth much anymore.

I didn't like where I was at and didn't want to be stuck to stuff I was the same way in my 20's and 30's. Never really cared about "stuff" till I got married and had kids. Except for camping gear, tools, golf clubs, softball shit... and giant tv of course. Then you get a house and receive these incredibly generous and thoughtful gifts from loved ones (armoire, changing table, "good china" etc.) and several hundred thousand dollars worth of toys, kids furniture, clothes, just all kinds of shit. You feel like a tool for just chucking it... so you drag it around till you can get it over to the Goodwill or have that "massive yard sale" that never happens. But I'm in full purge mode. The girls aren't that little anymore and they don't need six 50 gallon totes full of stuffies. A lot of shit is gonna fall victim to the virus. "I'm so sorry guys it all got contaminated!" "Family man, Family man... got your life all in a plan... well I'm coming for YOU Family man! I'm going to nail you to the front door of your well stocked garage Family man!" |

One of the craziest things for me as a parent is the crazy amount of shit I can acquire. I used to be able to fit everything I need in a backpack. Now I can barely fit our belongings in a 3 bedroom house with garage. I keep telling the wife when the kids move we are going back to wook life |

Quarantine has amplified that even more

Nice work Hoosier.
I built a platform for our stairs so we can use a ladder on them without dying (we're removing wallpaper and prepping for paint). Also did an oil change on Legs' whip. Moved a pile of lumber from the back deck into the garage. And a few other random chores...

pretty solid weekend. trail bike riding and hiking Saturday and spend most of yesterday outside gardening barefoot in the Earth.

Took bottles n cans back yesterday, they were over runnin the deep dungeon
15 bucks, not bad
Hit up our good PR spot , was delish have left overs for today. On way home ordered 2 fresh empanadillas ajs we hit up a park set on grassy knoll and enjoyed a little lunch time snack with some cola champagne
Went grocery store for some things we needed , mainly beer lol got some real good ones which was cool
Today were just comin tio, and lots of chorin , depend on when we finish that , may pop some caps , possibly grill n chill , lil nice weird way to end weekend
