Did some workshops w/the other teachers and showed them the comic book software I finally finagled the school into buying...set to do a few more as I have to show them a group at a time...
Have been having the Middle Schoolers work with it and they love it...Going to have them do a project w/The Giver and Lord of the Flies...should be fun!
Comic Life 3...I'd been trying to get the school to buy it since version 1....lol...better late than never..

Buddy picked up all of Lazarus for me, even got me the first one which I was gonna ask to have it so I can read them all (re read book 1)
Not always into Sci fi like this but shit is good , we'll book 1 was anyhow haha

Finished Archangel by William Gibson and art by Butch Guice.. good Weird WWII stuff..
Also cranking thru Chis Priest's Black Panther run (with the best art done by Guice coincidentally).. I think it is far and away better than Ta Nehisi Coates current run(Stelfreeze art is solid tho), but I'll withhold that opinion til I wrap both up..

Lil dude and I are gonna start marvel movie ing it up .

So he invented captain butt cheeks (hilarious when he gave him self a wedgie and proclaimed his super hero dome )

Got the cover done today , the bad guy is ....the STINK
My sober buddy who is my comic lifeline was informed that captain. Butt cheeks is now captain America s new side kick

The Slatt/Allred run of Silver Surfer is fucking great. Just grabbed some She-Hulk stuff, Marvel's "side" characters are their strength.

Michael Bendis , nah this is the first run from back in 05(right after so we got luke age, cap, iron man, wolverine spider woman, spider man, echo (as ronin) sentry (sparingly thus far) This all picks up shortly after house of M, where scarlet witch destroys avenger mansion and also wipes out millions of mutant powers I haven't read ^that yet but back story from my buddy and the books them self |

Lenil Yu is one of my favorite artist
Know of him due to his work with mark millar (superior and super crooks)
I love starting comics at No.1 ain't no other way, def gonna be on look for that cap

Yu and Ross involved aim it to be a superhero epic in all its hyper realist stoic glory.. 50/50 on whether Coates can provide the heft behind the emotional depth these guys paint for him to build a memorable run..
Stelfreeze left halfway through Black Panther which precipitated the fall there.. 1st 8 issues were amazing big idea stuff, than petered out @ nitty gritty comix details and artwork didn't carry the weak spots..
I have like a fold out Avengers comic from the early 90's Alex Ross did of reimagined moments from early Avengers. Drawn like greek myths. Amazing
