If Trump can get the fed government running a little more lean and cut our taxes a bit, I'll be satisfied...Just hoping there's not too much backslide on social causes. I'm actually excited at the prospect of infrastructure improvements too...if we can cut some of the waste in the fed govt and funnel some of those funds towards Tennessee Valley Authority type bridge/road projects, we will benefit from the job creation as well as the improved infrastructure. This is where I agree with him the most. Addressing our infrastructure. Problem is most of that construction comes from a flat rate gas tax that is not dependent on the price of oil. But fuel efficient cars have dwindled that revenue stream more and more every year. Congress needs to institute a new tax to pay for road maintenance and construction, which is something nobody every wants to be associated with.

im not really sure how much more damage Trump could do to the environment,, sure there is room but the environment hasnt really been a major issue for the DEMS recently . FDA is already bought and paid for, EPA as well
dont care about abortion though i favor a women right to choose
Trump may help my insurance get back to being great after the Obama fucked it up and he may cut my taxes.
so all and all i prob wont even notice the difference between him and Obama, personally
id rather he not be president or hillary
and im a giant fan of infrastructure development
im going to give the man a shot.. one never really knows what all talk during an election

That's an easy one. When it comes to paying for infrastructure improvements he'll make Mexico make up the difference that the diminishing gas taxes won't cover. Problem solved.

And for the record, I voted for whom my conscious felt good about voting for. I wasn't worried about how my vote will create a ripple effect. The people of America voted and it was unanimous. This election was set to fail regardless of what happened. Maybe Trump will do good things. He's pretty Rogue, like Putin.

zee - no issues how you voted or why you chose to vote a certain way, but the results were far from unanimous. There was a winner and loser under rules of which the game is played, but not everyone (or even every state) picked the same out come.

When it all boils down, I'm much less angry about his actual victory than the state of US society.
You can't fault the guy for convincing the uneducated, disenfranchised lowest common denominator to vote for him.
It's the fact that the ugliness now has a voice that bothers me the most. That and the fact that his Supreme Court nomination that will haunt us for decades.
The people who took to the streets to protest a man who won the election is ludicrous. Their energy should've been directed at Capitol Hill and that mutant Mitch McConnell for pulling the unprecedented move of blocking a nominee to the Supreme Court.

and the protests are happening in cities that didn't even vote for Trump. how about these protesters take their angst out to the towns around the country that voted for Trump and confront the people that voted for Trump. they could also confront people in swings states that voted 3rd party.

But the real issues continue to evade the dumbest and loudest in the US.
While I was in support of Bernie Sanders, the majority of the youth clamoring for his nomination over Hillary's are as uninformed as your average Trumper.
None of them had any clue as to what his actual platform was or the obvious obstacles he would have had to overcome to get anything done.
They heard the words free and education and supported something they're clueless about. No better than the racists that heard guns and deportation and headed out to vote for the Don.

It'd be nice to see them put their money where their mouth is for once. Of course they probably have seen Mississippi Burning.
