We're going to my parents' for the 23-24 and coming home sometime in the evening on Christmas Eve...always want the kids to be home for Christmas morning. I'm going back down to my parents' for New Year's weekend (Steelers tickets!), but that's all the required travel we have this year. Not too shabby.

well went with Kiss Kiss Bang Bang last night.. definitely takes place over Christmas.

I put up all my decorations yesterday. Tree, lights inside and out, spotlights outside... the kiddo and I are going to make paper snowflakes for the windows soon too.
I am going to start planning my cookie baking list tomorrow and writing out my shopping list. We are going to have lots of family in town so I'm making cookies galore!

I have one of those laser projector things for my house...it makes putting up Christmas lights so easy. I might do that tonight...

i have a couple of those.. mine are just colors.. id like one that projects Santa clause. i have maybe 15 strands of lights up-all different kinds-, one light up Santa and some other non light stuff. i do have it set up to back light a plastic sheet with a leg lamp which is taped to one window, with swirling colors. cool at night.  i have it on the other window this year so instead of grateful dead its moe. ![]() |

Speaking of cookies, has anyone ever had or tried making savory cookies? Like cheese cookies of some sort. I was thinking a sharp white cheddar and blueberry or cranberry or something along those lines, so I googled it. There are a bunch of recipes I'm finding. Rosemary and parm with lemon zest is one. I think it sounds interesting, but I'm just not huge on sweets really.

That doesn't sound great to me. Cookies are meant to be sweet. Just my opinion though.

My place looks like Santa's village or some shit. I'm fine with that, it actually looks great. However, we carpool to work and when she drives I'm left with either pop country or Christmas music until January  Of course in January, it's back to all country. |
