What's a reverse cone of charcoal? It’s what your wife would call a “Batavia Steamer.”

Sorry that's just what my brain called it. It just when you have a bunch of unlit coal around the edges of the charcoal ring in a upside down cone shape and pour a chimney full of hot coals in the open center. It seems to keep it cooking pretty evenly for a while.
You said you had to drill holes in the charcoal pan? It wasn't just sitting on another grate?

Oh, I gotcha.
Yeah, the charcoal pan in my smoker is like a big bowl. It didn't even come with a grate for the charcoal...that was another modification I made. But yeah, I drilled like twenty holes in the pan.

Webers do not hold heat very well in the winter time. Big Green egg is the way to be.

I seent on a teevees one time, that if the size of donuts kept progressing the way they were through I believe the 60s -80s that by the time 2030 hit they would be the size of car tires

It directly correlates with the penis size of the guy making the donuts!

Is it weird that I have no problem killing deer but the idea of cooking something while it's still alive repulses me?

Is it weird that I have no problem killing deer but the idea of cooking something while it's still alive repulses me? My boy has a fish that keeps having little fish every few months. And my wife seems to feel really bad for them. First time the bigger fish ate them. Second time she caught 4 tiny fish and they live in the dirty fish bowl next to the fish tank. The mom fish looks like she is about to have more. And I pointed out the little ones will probably start reproducing soon. Wife really seems to want me to come up with some ethical way of dealing with it. I had to explain to her I didn't have the time or energy to pretend to actually care.

Hmmm...can't fish be beneficial to a hydroponic system? I thought I've heard of that before.

Hmmm...can't fish be beneficial to a hydroponic system? I thought I've heard of that before. That is called aquaponics. Which I made a brief attempt at converting my backyard to a few years ago. Fish are good for plants nutrition. Bad for pumps and moving parts. All that organic matter that is so good eventually starts clogging things up and eventually grows something plants don't like. I plan to try again. But not on a table in the kids room where he has better messes already. No extra sludge opportunities necessary.
