ive been around them at fests i think but never actually sat thru a show..id like to just to see. listen rarely at home.

I just don't understand why you would keep singing. I mean they have to know that's the biggest complaint about them. theyve been a band since the late 90s. youd think theyd eventually just hire someone to be a singer, BUT they are the greediest band in music and im sure one more band member equals less money per a member |

They keep singing cause none of their fans care that they can't sing and it hasn't really hurt them much either.

I've always enjoyed seeing them live.
Are the "technically" sound at all times? No, but that's what makes them what they are...Though there is def better bisco shows and average ones.
I like how their grooves used to be down-tempo at times. You knew when one started it was going to get weird..
And as far as the singing goes, they are a jamband. Singing is secondary to what they do.
What jam/jamtronica bands have good vocals?

Exactly Lakai: Their vocals are a small part of what they do, and actually, it sort of fits the music at times imo of course. If they were a vocally-driven band then obviously I'd be the first to critique.. but they're not...

I'm not doubting you, I just don't know much abut them as far as shit like that. one of their famous quotes is "give us all your fucking money". its a joke, but not really and like at bisco sooo many times theyve kicked HEADLINERS off stage early so tDB could start their 7th fuckin set of the weekend. like one time bassnectars equipment wasnt workin for the first 20 mins of the set so at the end of the set Lorin was begging to just be able to play a few minutes longer, not 20, like 5 mins and tDB wouldnt give him ONE extra minute. like thats bullshit. tDB can deal with 2-3 mins of less jamming and it wont affect the show shit like that is just greedy as fuck. i get its their festival but both of those moves are unforgivable imo. greedy as fuck |

to me, yes, yes they do. I like some other groups in the same vain or style--Particle, Lotus, but tDB just grind my nerves. haven't seen a show though. if they ever come local, I'll give em a few bucks and let them confirm or dispel my opinion.

Id check them out again.
First time I saw them I had fun in Columbus. I started this thing where I would drink any time they sang cause the singing was so bad. It got better at the show went on.
Saw them at Rothbury and left half way through was just board. It was also right after I saw lotus and had the hmm I really dig their style moment. Can't comment if they suck or not but dont think their music is for me.
When they untz out real hard its fun

I can't name one jamband that has "good" vocals. Some are better than others, but most are just average caucasion males trying to sing...
