Note to self: Vegan spot closes on Monday. If you eat there 15 minutes before close on Sunday, free desserts happen.

Apparently those parents haven't heard of the food chain. Just ask this sciencetitian.

2016 strikes again.
The go to vegan spot is closing at the end of the month.
Bummer, they had good intentions.
But I guess if the old people who ran it when it was awesome could not turn a profit, these good natured Ned Flanders types didn't really stand much of a chance with their overall blandification of the joint.
Still...*sigh*

I'm thinking the butter on my sprouted bread a few nights ago is the end of my consuming anything from an animal. I've been enjoying all the benefits of a mostly plant based diet for a long time. Goodbye old friends.... steak, cheese, yogurt and salmon. And a few others I'm not missing at the moment. I'm really looking foward to my garden this spring!

You'll be back, they ALWAYS come back Hsssss*covers eyes and disappears into shadows* This will be interesting to see. It has been a long process and I used to never think i would give up meat. But for me it has been series of lifestyle changes leading up to this. It goes hand in hand with everything i've been doing already. Ive been growing pretty much veganic already. So my herb has been vegan for at least 4 years. Im about to repurpose half my garage as a compost/worm factory. A large part of me thinks it will be much like giving up tobacco. Not going back

I've lived in Grand Rapids for almost three years and am just finding out right now an Ethiopian restaurant here has an all vegan lunch buffet Mon-Thur.
