"A source told The Daily Mail that the announcements were expected to be made on Monday with processed meat put in the same category as cigarettes, alcohol and asbestos."
This is really causing me to rethink my resistance to smoking and asbestos.

Within the next few weeks I plan on making a pretty drastic diet change.
Not vegan, per se, but will be following this thread...

we were dealing with that article Friday.
they seem to stress the processed part.
i think the processing and cooking has a lot to do with the cancer component
some say the sun causes cancer but we need it.

Yeah Hokie..I'm trying to heal my body...
One of the best ways to do that is to put good things in it..
You are what you eat?

They say cooking over charcoal causes cancer too, so grilled veggies will kill you. Everything will kill you.

we have really reduced red meat, eat some bacon occasionally. our meat is mostly chicken or turkey these days.
down to meat maybe 3 or 4 times a week.

FKT is not sustainable in the long run..
People from other countries laugh at the average American's diet.

that is a crappy way to go.
no surprise you pump meat full of chemicals its not going to get any healthier.
i still buy minimally processed no added nitrate bacon sometimes.
"For an individual, the risk of developing colorectal (bowel) cancer because of their consumption of processed meat remains small, but this risk increases with the amount of meat consumed," Dr Kurt Straif of the IARC said in a statement.
Each 50 gram portion of processed meat eaten daily increases the risk of colorectal cancer by 18 percent, the agency estimated.
dont think ill be eating couple pounds of bacon at sitting anytime soon.
