I saw them once at a small festival, they had a late night set. The drummer and Guitarist were really the only ones that were throwing down, but the guitarist fucking stole the show, had a solo at one point where he was the one playing and he fucking KILLED it!

I actually saw them once. The biggest thing I remember was getting to the show late and they were opening. I asked the doorman how little no they had been on and he said "oh, they havnt gone on yet, this is their sound check."
Cost me seeing the end of Kung Fu, because it was getting so damn late.

You think it's a business decision? I take it as, "OK, when we started out these guys were my best friends, but after ____ years of constantly touring in a shitty GMC Safari I've realized that I could be ok never seeing these guys again. Not to mention, my wife has two kids at home and I can barely remember their names." Usually it's something like this. Or that some or all of them want to spend more time on their own side projects.

Dudes are tired. 150 shows a year all over the country for nearly a decade is super tiring and stressful. They have totally earned a year off in my opinion. Looking forward to the tour opener in Philly, and a strong return in 2019

Stagnation Hiatus Hype Build up Come back to slightly larger crowds at reunion shows and make as much or more money as you wouldve touring the previous year at low level clubs and bars

moe, bisco, cheese, god street wine, uv hippo, strangefolk, Dispatch..
Even local small town bands do it. Small time bar band called Trailer Park took two years off here. Came back like the local yokel version of the Stones
