it's not that far, it's just the opposite direction if anywhere I might need to go. Also my inspection sticker is expired so I try to stay out of downtown during the day so the cops don't see it. -Does this town have a mechanic? You could get an inspection and drop off the kitchen on the same trip. ironically the place I usually get my inspection done is down the street from where she wants to meet but I have a few things I need to do to make sure it passes and I'm not paying them to do it. The gun shop is over there and I've been meaning to drop off my 22 to get worked on so maybe I'll do that.

Now you're thinking! What kind of work does your .22 need?

I bet if you do it, the kindness will come back to you in some way.
(plus think of how happy you'll make some kid)

The independent radio station I've listening to for years goes off the air at 6pm today. Bummer... WNKU, you will be missed. Ive gone through this. WWHP the Whip, old and alt country, bluegrass and blues. It was out of a rural Illinois town. Luckily, they have it online now, but I never listen... backlandradio.com/

Now you're thinking! What kind of work does your .22 need? the firing pin doesn't always line up right and it misfires. At least that was the problem the last time I fired it which might have been 15 years ago. They said they would clean it up and get it working right for like 60 bucks. Probably has a weak spring or something. Idk much about how guns actually work.

lol what does this have to do with knowing or not knowing things? I think it's pretty common courtesy, if you give something a way for free and someone wants it they can arrange to have it picked up. If they're not paying for it, why waste your gas, your time and your effort to get the item to them?

But what if they can't find a ride? Your logic is flawed.
If you said that the person should make an effort to find a ride...fine. But you don't even know that this lady didn't call everyone she knows asking for a ride.
Ask Dan if there is public transportation around his house...Uber, Lyft, anything...I doubt it.

yeah you can make a ton of assumptions...you can also assume this lady has made 0 effort and expects everything to be delivered to her, as is the mentality of a lot of people, especially in this country. we can play the assumption game all we want, all i'm saying, in my opinion, if you're giving away something for free a person can try and make the effort to pick the item up that you're giving away, if you don't agree that's fine, you can spend your time and money to make sure the item you're giving away gets to the person who may or may not be making an effort to get to you to get it

you're helping a person by not charging them for the item that you're selling/giving away, you are taking a loss on an item that you bought, whether it be recently or ages ago, and doing something self less by giving away the item at no cost to someone who may not have the means to afford the item or just can't afford extra expenses in general. I got nothing but respect for that, just like i got nothing but respect for people who miracle others concert tickets. But that doesn't mean a line can't be drawn, if someone is getting a good for free the least they can do is make an effort to obtain that item without you having to go out of your way to deliver it to them

I try really hard not to mommy-judge, but I can't imagine having someone in my child's life that didn't want to be their friend or step up into a father role if his father was absent. awful. those poor kids. i'll be their friend He says stuff like that in front of them too...sometimes stuff like, "I wish I had a son..." Poor Jeremy. Wow...that literally makes me sick...And that's right JW...how could anyone ever even give a man like that a second thought? Holy fuck.
