I saw Tom Petty at Vegoose. That Vegoose was the only time i saw Tom Petty. me too. I think my mind was blown from The Mars Volta and then we chose The Killers set over the Black Crowes and then Tom Petty'd it up. I don't recall exactly but some great live performances for sure.

got no deer where I live. just rats and maybe a skunk. the town my parents live in have such a bad skunk problem they are offering $75 per every skunk caught dead or alive. I once saw 4 skunks in their neighborhood within 30 seconds of each other. Ive never been skunked but I really do like the scent while driving along a forest road. There's either a skunk breeder or a stinky ass grow house down my bike route and I enjoy taking that path due to that aroma.

It's not the same when your pet gets skunked

Ive seen a bald eagle perched on top of a saguaro cactus 🌵 and then it sprung open its wings and took an amazing flight that was awe inspiring. I've also seen some homicides by hawks that swoop in and grab neighborhood cats with their talons and fly them up about 40-50 feet and release them to fall into the street and then they swoop down again and carry that meal away while the neighborhood kids cry. That is also rather awe inspiring but sad for the kids.

Ive seen a bald eagle perched on top of a saguaro cactus 🌵 and then it sprung open its wings and took an amazing flight that was awe inspiring. That is also rather awe inspiring but sad for the kids. I watched a hawk nail a chipmunk a couple hunting seasons ago. It was brutally violent and impressive

the neighborhood my folks live in, and the one I grew up in, had wolves up until about 5-7 years ago when the uppity parents started getting freaked out that the wolves will eat their children. So they had them all re-located...and that is why there is an overpopulation of skunks! Re-locating children so they don't get eaten by wolves sounds a little extreme, but having never faced that particular flavor of danger myself I couldn't really say for sure. Do skunks thrive in childless areas? If so, I did not know that.

Another crazy long day. There's just so much to do, and not enough time. I have three more days and unlimited tasks to try to finish, but they keep pulling me into calls that don't really have anything to do with me. They are just looking for my opinion, which is flattering, but it pulls me away from the shit I came here to fix.
There was talk of extending my stay for 1-2 weeks, but they need to get approval from finance to do it. There have also been subtle hints that they are trying to bring me back for 6 months to a year, in which case they would have to rent me an apartment. Not going to lie, I would love to live here for a while, but the workload might kill me. I'm used to easily getting all my shit done, while basing on the side.
Anyway, just had a delicious cheese plate and a nice glass of Bordeaux, waiting for my duck to arrive. This is why I would take the job if they offered.

Just finished a project, feeling a nap is in order before diving into the next one. I love a culture that not only understands, but values a good siesta.
