Pretty sure I'm gonna get to go to the deep medi show on Thursday. Pretty stoked. I went to it last nite in Boston. HOLY FUCK. Shit was mental. Prepare for a seriously monster sound system. Dope ass show. Got to meet Mala too, he was just walking around the crowd during the openers like yeah no big deal awesome fucking night dope crowd too. everyone really knew what they were talking about |

I decided to bail on the deep medi show tonight. I can't really afford to skip work tomorrow. Sucks but there are a bunch of other shows coming up I want to see.

I've seen Mala a couple times over the years, always been really awesome. First I saw him was as/with Digital Mystikz.
I just noticed that Voices From The Lake are playing here at the end of April, def gonna grab a ticket for that one.

word I wish I could come down, i'm pretty swamped with school all april, got midterms the next two weeks, then final papers due the first week of may. I def wanna come down in the summer though if that works for you, let me know if you see anything good. I would have loved to catch DVS1 though  |

Word. Honestly I'm not even sure if I can go to DVS1. I have to check with baby mama. I'll keep you posted about summer. I think Moritz von Oswald is playing but not sure when. I want to come up to NYC too.

I was just having a conversation with a friend this morning about how big the scene in DC used to be and now it's in a tiny little basement. I guess I'm jaded, having had so many big nights at the Capitol ballroom I always felt a little dissapointed in uhall. |

It was rated as having the second best sound in country behind Cielo. The DC scene also isn't limited to uhall. Flash has become a staple and is awesome and several crews are doing semi regular parties at multiple venues. |

Last time I raged DC I was at Echo stage and that's a bigger venue but it didn't have that "family" vibe you get at uhall.
I'm sure there's still some good stuff going on, I know the 88 crew is still doing well and I've always enjoyed their shows. Steez promo is putting out garbage as far as I can tell.
I guess I was lucky to have been around in the 90's and 00's
