Well, we got so much rain today that my cellar has 6 or so inches of water in it. I already got a little worked up in the kitchen this evening, so I can't even really feel mad or upset about it. I could get gung ho and drive the 20 minutes to my dad's and get a pump and start getting it out. I pay too much in rent, though, and the one other time this happened and I was Johnny on the spot, my landlord had no interest in compensating me. I just hope it doesn't get too cold in here by morning. The furnace is in the low spot where the water is the deepest...
Oh, and this is actually day one of my break from drinking. Thanks for the test, universe, you fucking joker.

I've been watching flint town on Netflix. Really liking it. Good looknatbpolicr and some of the issues in really depressed Midwestern communities. I used to work in southeast Chicago and north west Indiana areas that shared a lot of the pitfalls discussed in the show.

Drove out to a friend's new place/farm yesterday with GimmeSomeDead (Not sure if he even post here anymore) but it ended up being his Jetta's last ride  Died in our friends driveway as soon as we pulled up after an hour drive into the sticks...The day before He put 300,000 miles on...made for an interesting Easter adventure. RIP EGG. Our condolences. That's a hell of a ride though. |

I had strep this year. Antibiotics cleared it up. I was still sick with a cold for a solid 3 weeks. Doesn't help we've started blooming down here too.

It only got down to 58 in my house over night. Not bad at all. The wind is howling and the forecast is a low of 26 tonight, though. I really hope they can get me back in working order today.
That said, I fully realize that my issues are trivial compared to those that others are experiencing.
Get well, ferd, and try not to stress out too much about May.
