It appears that once again I will be going to yet another show by myself. DSO yay. Ever get sick of your own company?
Life is not very interesting when its mostly just YOU going to concert after concert in and out of town solo.

When i figure out to how to make a zip file liek a ho ill post my epic ski/sts9 trip. Yo.... I spend a LOT of time by myself, and have sat at a lot of bars n stuff by myself. I went to ski resorts by myself ... soem of the best in the country without knowing what i was doing... it was even a litle scary and overall overwsheling to try and party, ski, see tribe, drive, and sleep.. on a schedule... ALL by myself. You have inspired me to make a drink by myself... ITs noon so im cool wit it |

I'll be going to concert alone on Saturday as well and yeah, I def don't get the same enjoyment out of solo shows as I once did. I do know a bartender at this venue and I know he likes this band as well, so there's that but he'll prob be too busy to shoot the shit with me. I still have fun solo showing it, of course but it's just not the same as when I was younger and more interested in being outgoing.

He says, I love being alone because there is no one to piss me off other than social media and the net. He truly prefers his life this way. He knows I don't use spacebook or bitter. He tells me DON'T DO IT and that its not worth the mental disgust from reading so much dumb shit. |

Its easier to be outgoing when the people around you are your age. I had no issues through my 20-s and 30-s. See now when I go to shows or festivals sure there are folks my age and older there but mostly its kids in their 20's. I am not gonna outgrow music or anything. Solo now as you said its not as fun as when we were young and don't get me wrong I still enjoy the hell out of my tunes solo or not. Also, I am pretty damn good at making friends where ever I go under the right circumstances of course.
Like small fests of bands like Pigeons, or The Mantras or PG then its even easier to make friends because the scene is very laid back and friendly and typically whoever I camp next to will become my pals on day one. A single show out of town, well there is not much time for that so its just chit chat about the music we are seeing if anything. |

I had a buddy who once gave me advice... rather a word of caution... particlarly when referrign to "the road"... "Never get a cranky girlfriend"....Words of wisdom. |
