I tore it apart and set it back up using the transit. Top row is effects loop. The oinkomp and naga viper (lower right) run into the transit. The spacial delivery is switch one, then two, three and four are groups of fuzzes, ods and distortion, 4 each. 4 and 4 in the middle and the 4 jams pedals on the bottom middle. Fun.

So... over the past few years I've bought some used speakers here and there when a good deal pops up. I bought another tone tubby and it arrived today. It's a 12in winterland 8 ohm 30 watt ceramic that I'm going to pair with a tony tubby 12in key west 8 ohm 30 watt alnico that I've had for a while. Now I just need to build a cabinet.

If you were stuck on a deserted island with a guitar and amp but you can only bring 2 pedals (no multi effect pedals). Which ones would you choose? It's a tough question. I'm going to have to think about my answer. 3 pedals would be easy, a distortion, a delay and a reverb pedal would cover a lot of sound. Picking 2 of those is hard.

I would go with a Big Muff, Moog Delay, and Digitech Whammy V. Those are versatile staples IMO so with only 2 I would ditch the Whammy

If I have my rocker 15 amp, then the distortion can be covered, so yeah, probably a delay(history lesson 3) and a reverb(levitation). If I were to pick one of the distortion pedals I'd probably take one of the haymakers because they can go from slight boost to near fuzz and covers a lot of ground in between. I'm not sure why Caroline doesn't make them anymore and that they aren't more popular. I just keep coming back to them over a lot of the ods. The Jam tubedreamer 72 quickly became a favorite. It is a lower gain 808 type od without the mid hump. It pushes the edge of/slightly dirty amp quite nicely and I love the way it responds to playing with my thumb, which I do a lot of the time. It just sounds good.

Picking just two is really tough.
Honorable mention because it's kind of rad would be the EQD The Depths. It's an optical vibe akin to a univibe and can go from slight warble/tremelo to tsunami/twenty thousand leages under the sea. I keep it a litte short of half way. I didn't realize how much I was going to like playing that one. It sounds awesome with fuzz and distortion.

I think the effect I use the least of is chorus. I have a caroline somersault in the effects loop and it covers a lot of ground and can get crazy too, but I just barely ever use it. I guess if I ever want to play Nirvana songs it will be there. I actually want to use the rattler with the somersault and see how close to Kurt's tone that I can get. That sounds fun.

I always forget about the chorus/ flange / tremelo effects. They are subtle but make things sound so much bigger. This doesn't make picking 2 easier.
