So some of you might have noticed that I am slightly obsessed with the Psybient/Psychill genre. I have slowly been writing songs and learning about production. I also love to play the guitar and try to incorporate it in my mixes...or just straight-out jam with my loop pedal. Also enjoy playing the acoustic and do the tab thing..
Anyone else make music on here? Even if you don't make music per se, what gear do you have?
Here's my set-up:
-A Mac -Ableton is my daw (digital audio workstation) -Yamaha monitors. -An audio interface which allows me to plug guitar in/or a mic (but I do instrumental stuff) -An Akai MPK49. My midi synthesizer. This thing is bad-ass/has drum pads on it too. -A whole bunch of VSTs (omnisphere is the best). VSTs stand for "virtual studio technology" for those who do not know.
-I also have a Fender Strat as my electric guitar. -A Takamine g series as my acoustic. -A digitech loop-pedal -A really cool African-style djembe. -A whole bunch of shakers and fun stuff to play around with

I have a Fender American Strat, an Alvarez acoustic assembled by one of my buddies who is a guitar tech and a Vox AC30VR 2x12" 30-Watt Hybrid Amp as my main instrument set ups.
Got a bunch of other cheapies I gathered throughout the years. A couple of mandos and a bass that I mess with from time to time.
Making music is...

Don't have many pedals a blues distortion and a Dunlop Crybaby. The real deal.

Haven't really played in a while, but I also have a Strat (Mexican) with a small Vox amp. Also have an old Harmony acoustic and the gf has an old no name. I would like to explore the idea of getting some kind of synth equipment. Sounds fun. I played drums in school, but do not own a single percussive instrument. I probably ought to fix that, too.

My gf plays violin. I play that every once and awhile. Same tuning as the mando but uses a different part of your brain.

I knew a dude where I used to live that played a toy guitar. One designed for toddlers. He mastered it though. Played a weird electronic MIDI sounding thing of his own design.

I've considered buying a Mando.

Definitely worth it. So many different aspects of the instrument. With drum experience you could get the percussive rhythm aspect of it down like nothing.

I have a harmonica somewhere that I haven't played in years now. Used to be pretty good, I could play a version of On Top Of Old Smokey that could bring you to tears.
Oooh I just spotted the harmonica up on s shelf!

My buddy has a Mando that I've played around with. The chords are nothing like guitar and I always ended up making up my own little runs. I do like the chuck, though. I could do that all night. Lol

I just have my Mando for now but I definitely have fun with it. I want to get an electric guitar with loop pedals and all the goods associated in the future.

I want to get better at finger-picking on acoustic guitar. Learn actual patterns.
Prob something I'll do over the winter.

I have the basic outside inside alternate ones down. I had to play spaced to really fully understand the sound pattern though.
Gotta get the slide down sometime.
