The volume knob doesn't work but I have another one in the parts bin. It's also a non-standard value; 500k instead of 250kOhms. Alnico pickups are on the way from Canada. (https://www.toneemporium.com/) I love the vintage sound of the original, slightly more expensive magnets compared to ferrite/ceramic. Same with speakers, give me Alnico for low wattage amps please.

I like seagulls. Last year, between MPP & Bangor Phish shows, Ms. Goodman & I stayed in a nice rooftop room in Old Port in Portland. Sipping beer on the deck and watching them congregate & disperse, they won me over. Granted: living out here in the mountains, I don't have to endure their noise or their poop except on vacations. We have an alarming number of seagulls to be in the foothills of the Rockies, we have pelicans too. There was an article on the paper a few years ago where a bird guy was talking about the gulls, some of them have a pink tint that is from eating at the Great Salt Lake. ....that is 450+ miles away. ....WTF sky rats?

I have a seagull too. S5 I believe.
My wife had an older Alverez refurbished for me so I play that, mostly. When I do strum.

I've been cr33p1n on these like an upstate NY driver with a diesel Mercedes, and finally someone had one for a decent price... so I did the thing. Again. I already love the sound and feel of it. There is no magnetic pickup, it's acoustic/electric with a piezo pickup. Anyone want to buy a P Bass?

bear Can we talk reverb? I'm looking for some pedal reverb, but I want it to be able to do a tight small room but also able to do cathedral style as well. I've been looking at the eventide space reverb but it's a little out of my price range. Got any good reccomends

EllisD okay here's what I got for this. The budget winner for under $100 is Mooer Skyverb, and I saw one on Reverb.com new for less than $70. Simple, small, and has several sounds. For about $150 you got TC Electronic Hall of Fame II and EHX Oceans 11 so check those out. For $200 new you could get an MXR M300, EQD Afterneath or Walrus Fathom. Up from there are the bigger multi function units like Boss RV-500, Eventide Space (good name), and Strymon BigSky.

My band's EP release went live today and Bandcamp is waiving their cut of sales today. Check it out if you're interested! The Rosemeat EP, "Animal Drama" is now available to order on vinyl (split 12" with NYC's Madam West), CD, Cassette and/or MP3! We also have a very cool T-shirt! Bandcamp is waiving their cut and giving the proceeds of all sales directly to the artists today, and any support is very much appreciated! We also have a music video for our song, "The Oceans Appetite" - The full EP hits all your favorite streaming platforms on May 14 (2 singles are currently available) Thank you for listening! rosemeatmusic.bandcamp.com/releases

if you wanted to get into a looping setup with a moog and drum pad what midi controller/ loop thing would you get? I have looked at the Akai APC40 and the boss505 but I have no idea

I have looked at the Akai APC40 and the boss505 but I have no idea One if the best things iPads can do musically is looping Gives you great visual feedback for the loops There are a bunch of apps that all do the same thing musicaladvisors.com/loop-pedal-apps/#The-Best-Loop-Pedal-AppsAs far as hardware (synths and drum machines) goes the korg volca series gives amazing bang for your buck. A controller keyboard might also be valuable if you want more playability. Learning a program like ableton (it's a steep learning curve) gives you unlimited potential when dealing with audio

That is a controller keyboard, it doesn't actually make any sound by itself. That keyboard would act as your "hub" between all of your other synthesizers, drum machines, and computer
