I do a lot of picking, but it's more "exploratory"
Definitely want to learn some actual patterns..

I started with a four fingered thumb to middle to index to ring. Strummed out an open D to get it down.
I've since moved onto just using my thumb index and middle fingers. But it's too hard to explain the pattern with words. It's a visual and audio learning thing.

^ Nice collection dguy.
Spacemanspliff you got quite the collection too. Goin' to town in that vid man...
I really want to get some more pedals for my guitar. I'll look into that Electro Harmonix Frequency Analyzer. Def want some stuff for spacey sounds. I have POF farm which I can use through my interface. I really don't like most of the tones and effects on there though.
Also thinkin' some crazy delay pedals would be nice. Why does this stuff have to cost money? This one looks sweet and could be really useful for space/ambient stuff:

I'm a gear junkie. My side gig was repairing, trading, and flipping gear before I got my 9 to 5. I have ten guitars and three basses, which is too many. (If you want a Stratocaster or a Danelectro Convertible get at me) I have been experimenting with what scale length and tuning best suits my vocal range, so I currently have one of every size: 35, 34, and 30 inch bass, 27 (baritone) 25.5, 25, 24.75, and 24 inch scale length guitars.
I have a Fender Telecaster that is my go to because it sounds magical. I built it from parts and customized it to my liking including unique stereo wiring of my own creation which can split the pickups to two separate amps and I even sprayed the raw neck with polyurethane to be super thin.
I run various amp setups sometimes with a homemade Leslie cabinet I made from the rotor in an old console organ and housed in a walnut dining room table that I chopped up into a speaker cabinet. I recently got a Mesa Boogie mark iii amp and haven't looked back because it sounds excellent. (If you want a 70s Fender Twin Reverb converted to a head only or a 68 Fender Bandmaster Reverb get at me)
I use a good bit of pedals but the mainstays are the Moog mini line because they all have hands free controls via expression pedals. Also lovin the JHS unicorn and a local builder called Smiletone. I build, I play, I am a guitar geek since age 12.
Recently got into synthesizers to supplement my bass playing and have an Arturia Microbrute, and am looking to get an analog drum machine. No laptops.... yet
If your guitar or other gear is broken I will fix it or upgrade it if you pay for parts. If you need advice for upgrades feel free to ask. I just like to tinker. I sell on Reverb.com also

I have ten guitars and three basses, which is too many. Human. Badass man. Can never have too many, right? And that is really cool that you have the knowledge and capabilities to build/fix/upgrade.etc. Serious props.

I am a drummer first, guitar player second. I have a lot of gear, some extremely high end new and vintage. I could talk this subject all day.
I recently partook in an auction where I acquired 10 guitars for $4000. One of them was an Ibanez Gem (the Steve Vai model) that retails for over 3 grand. Three of them are MusicMan Stingray bass guitars that are easily a grand a piece. Two PRS that are godlike. Two are Yamaha acoustic guitars that are magnificent. I got an SG in the deal too. I do need to sell a few..
If you want a dope Music Man bass shout out. The real deal Flea style brand spanking new made in San Luis Obispo, hard shell case included for $1000.
I also have a Diezel head that I won 10 years ago and at that time I was the 2nd person in the United States to get one, the first being Adam Jones. GLP is still over $6000 for that piece! Not for sale, just bragging about this one.

^ That is wicked man. Nice recommendation. I would put that thing to serious use. This is the one thing I'm lacking in-Pedals.
I'd also like to get an electronic drum kit one day.
Anyone want to donate to my cause (kidding...sort of)
