It should be fairly entertaining.
And I wouldn't say SNL is trash, they have a slightly weak cast but still put out some decent material

Pete doing spots on Weekend Update are great. Just about everything else he does, not so great. SNL is the same as it ever was. Some good skits, some terrible skits, and hopefully one you remember for years to come. I would say the musical guests is where they have dropped off the hardest. I guess you can only book what's out there but I remember when the "live" part was a key ingredient in an appearance. I now have to cut grass and pick a cloud to yell at.

I feel like their cast is pretty bloated right now. They've got some talented people on the cast(Bowen Yang and Ego Nwodum)(sp?) but not enough screen time. Solid assessment, Venk. Shocked McKinnon is even still a part of it. I guess Ghostbusters didn't give her the cya moment she might have expected. And nothing against big women, but now they have that younger and less funny version of Aidy Bryant in the cast and it feels like there isn't enough room for both. I would have to think about how long Lorne has carried two plus sized ladies at one time. I like Beck Bennett a lot. Mikey Day and the other white dude are hit and miss. Mooney, the same.
