I read early today that Wall Street banks were out $100 bills because they had all been withdrawn. Was a credible news source. i'm hoping co-op's and credit unions are prepared for this, but serious question would you withdraw? theoretically id think even if the dollar lost value on the global market, vendors(people) would still perceive it as having value for at least a little while the dollar has no intrinsic value. in fact money is just debt created by the FED at this point. so the dollars value is based on people having faith on the US government. we seem to be ahead of the curve relative to other countries so our dollar should remain strong vs other fiat currency. its really hard to say. but my view is most likely we will lock down for the most part. so may not be able to spend cash.. everything electronic and perhaps delivered.
we keep thousands of cash on hand just cause you never know what may come up
something my accountant told me.. if you owe money to FED, wait til last moment to pay it. they may be extending filing dates with no fees or interest

Wife stocked up on extra green in various forms. Not gonna grab extra booze, if it comes down to it, just plan on drying out.

I am going to stock up on greenery. We have a good 50 bottles of wine in our cellar so we're good there.

Not sure if this has been mentioned but vegas finally shut down casinos and some hotels are closing. casinos in LA, san fran, and all up and down the east coast also closed. hasn't hit the midwest yet from what i know, but have a feeling it'll happen this week. makes sense, casinos are basically germ factories normally.

I called to confirm my early session this morning, but got no answer. Went anyway. Restaurant closed. Went to my next appointment early since it was a block away. Manager not in yet. Said everyone but two people checked out this morning, the remainders are checking out later and the hotel is closing for 15 days. Tourists are making a mad scramble to get out of the country before everything is locked down tight tonight. Ran into restaurant owner friend on street in front of the monastery, which is a major tourist attraction. Closed. Two Canadians showed up and they obviously had no idea what was going on. They were planning on heading to the next stop of their trip later today. We told them they either need to get to Lima and fly home, or if they're staying in Peru they need to be somewhere they want to be for the next 15 days. Felt bad for them, and everyone else traveling here. My visiting in-laws are stuck here, but at least they're from here and have a place to stay.

California shut down bars, clubs and wineries as they aren’t a necessity They define necessity differently than I do. A friend is running for mayor, he had a meet and greet at a brewery yesterday, I went. goodbye pham. The brewery is now closed except for canned sales or growler fills. I closed that bitch down!

How’s that going? .... except for current situation It's going great, I love it! and I'm (tentatively) a month from graduating... this is def fucking with my flow. Might join the ironworkers union when I'm done. Had a guy come in and give us the pitch a week or so ago. Can get those benefits plus some more free schooling, plus 20+ and hour starting pay. I just want to be working and welding because loading boxes at Fed Ex is trash.
