Bird content Saw a new species of woodpecker today. A Northern Flicker  Identified with the Merlin app merlin.allaboutbirds.org/Had a Northern Flicker on the roof today pounding on the cap to the chimney. Makes a hell of a noise inside. |

Yikes. Our cat, Pig killed a redwinged blackbird yesterday. Sad. We're trying to keep her in the house, but she bolts when you open the door if you're not paying attention (our kids are never paying attention).

My daughter named her pig. Mostly because she wanted a pet pig and we wouldn't agree to it and she got a kitten instead.
