I work in wetlands and they're around a lot. We have one site where there's a platform that they occasionally nest on

I was like 3 miles deep on a hiking trail last weekend saturated in nature when a army double blade cargo copter flew over my head. It was weird but I was thinking "damn alright that's cool why not"

We live right near the county airport and there's military chinooks flying in and out all the time. Usually they do take off and landing training there so they tend to hover around for quite a while. Usually at night.
