Kasich is the only Republican that seems genuine

I don't know about that. Trump seems like a genuine narcissist. Cruz seems like a genuine asshole. Perry seemed genuine about trying to look more intelligent by wearing glasses.
I liked the story about Kasich how he got thrown out of the backstage area of an early 90's Dead show and tried to play his "don't you know who I am?" Congressman card. I'll give him points for actually going to a Dead show. He seems better than the rest, but I don't really know too much about him and saying that he's better than the rest isn't really saying much considering 'the rest.' What do the Ohioans here have to say about Kasich?

I hope that stoops was not lurking and was unaware of the migration. I would get a chuckle out of him showing up one day to troll and seeing it all gone with no clue of what happened.

Could it be possible that Stoops is Daveo and we were pranked? No, Daveo deleted some basers so that proves he is who he says he is, right?

Kasich is the only Republican that seems genuine We have to face it that our next president will be a republican and Kasich appears to be the best they are serving up.

Pretty terrible on education. Very socially conservative. He made heavy funding cuts to Planned Parenthood in the state. In favor of hydraulic fracking in all parts of Ohio including state and national parks He heavily opposes progressive marijuana legislation and the state has drafted a bill for this year's election that would legalize 10 growers in Ohio to run a oligopoly of the industry.
But practically any economic struggles in the state can be attributed to loss of industry. Any economic upturn can be attributed to LeBron's return to Cleveland.

Can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not. From betterweather's description I don't think I'll be jumping on the Kasich train. For a while a lot of people were suggesting Hillary was a lock or at least it was hers to lose. I really don't think it makes much of a difference who wins, but I'd like to see a an election with at least two good choices so I'm going to hope the strongest Republican, whoever that may be, makes it to the national election. My gut tells me we'll wind up with two center-right candidates.

This...
"The one and only complement that experts can seem to give Sanders is that there is a certain “authenticity” which endears him to voters, an attribute which they consider positive but marginal. But they fail to see how profound the statement they are making really is, so let me decompress it.
What pundits are saying is that people seem to like Bernie Sanders because they believe that he is the only candidate who isn’t lying to them or taking money from special interests to satisfy his political ambitions. Take a second to truly think about that statement, and ask yourself how “marginal” of an edge that is."

Not another son of the antichris t If Jeb Bush is the son of the antichrist, that would make George "Pappy" Bush the antichrist. I'd like to think the antichrist would be a hell of a lot cooler than George Fucking Bush Sr. That said, I'm happy to see Jeb falter, and I'm happy to hear Walker's dropping out. Maybe the Republican electorate will totally reject the establishment candidates and go wackier than normal this time around; Trump, Carson, maybe even Huckabee or Santorum. Maybe Gingrich will rise from the dead or crawl out from whatever rock he's been residing under and go for another run.
