I didn’t say it was going to work. I am only saying he will do it. This man will not accept defeat and the courts, etc will all get involved again and I am not educated enough on what positions in the election offices of swing states are now filled with people looking to do what they can to disrupt the certifications and whatnot, but I am quite certain they are there ready to do Trump’s bidding. I don’t trust that Mike Johnson shitbag at all. Whatever power he can wield to disrupt the results, he will.

Neither, they go to the winner of the ridiculous electoral college*#@
*if there isn’t an alternate slate of electors # if Congress certifies the election @if SCOTUS doesn’t hand all election related cases to Republicans

Having said all that, I don’t think it will be happening because I think he wins and it’s all moot. And he serves his four years and hopefully his lasting effect on every Republican after him is not to do the election integrity routine every 4 years….

Look I'm sorry but if you think Trump wins and serves his four years and its going to be basically normal and then we'll go back to status quo, you're being more a lot worse tthan incredibly naive. Ignorant would be putting it too politely.

Never said that, so ease up on the insults. I said perhaps the GOP candidates going forward don’t always look to fraud and push fraud before the election has even taken place. I didnt remotely insinuate normalcy is upon us irregardless of who wins.

Something that gives me hope re: a second attempt at an insurrection is that anyone thinking of getting involved will have to decide if the risk of going to jail is worth it. Guess it depends on by how much he (hopefully) loses by, though Biden beat him 306 to 232 and that didn't stop him.
The other positive aspect is that last time Trump was still in power and looking to illigitimately stay in power when all this happened and this time he won't be. No idea how much of a difference that would make.

He has access to all his loyalists in congress, the Supreme Court, your local politics, untold numbers of members of hate groups and all the millions of random fascist rednecks who will believe anything he says. He's better prepared than last time.

If he loses, does a lot of that institutional support crumble? The MAGA base has nothing to lose by sticking with him, but does a politician risk their career and potentially bring on legal problems by actively trying to overturn the election results? Or do they self-preserve and see which way the new wind blows as the party regroups? If he loses it'll be interesting to see if the GOP will continue down the same MAGA path with a new Trump like leader or return to the mainstream/establishment.
"Millions of random fascist rednecks," plus all the non-redneck fascists.... America's a scary place.

So Trump is already claiming fraud in Pennsylvania. Meanwhile his supporters are burning ballot boxes in multiple states and there are videos surfacing of Trump supporters going to polling places to cause a ruckus.
I would make the assumption that Trumps fraud claims are already due to the fact that early voting is showing he is getting CRUSHED and he is well aware that he may not only lose this election, but lose in a landslide

Ugh. My folks signed up to be election officials in their local area in Virginia...
They got some extra training at the beginning of the week about situational awareness and securing the area and stuff...
There aren't enough cops in the area to actually do that work, so they're asking mostly retired/elderly folks to be security? WTF?

I heard a story on NPR about how some county/voting district/whatever drafts citizens to work polling stations. Don't remember the exact details, but something about how getting people involved educates them as to how the process works and that it's on the up and up.
