Most of my family are Republicans. They will all vote for Trump because they think we are better off under Republican control and are ok with settling for the imbecile in office. My dad will try and send me propaganda on Harris but I won't watch it, because if it's not from the AP then I won't waste my time.

I'm over alienating myself from people who don't see the world the same way as I do. With that being said, if someone is some sort of Trumper Qanon, batshit crazy cultist then I want nothing to do with those people and while it is sickening that Neo-nazi's, racists, bigots, etc all align themselves with Trump, I've come to realize it's dumb to have dislike for someone just because they support the same party. It's like blaming all Jews for what's going on in the middle east...

I seen a lot of messages lately that say something to the effect of… “If you’re at a rally and Nazis are there, and no one is upset or making them leave…. You are at a Nazi rally.” I agree with this. ….but my dad is full on Trump and has always been Republican, he’ll say it’s about taxes and the economy… but shit dude… that’s a lot of stuff to ignore If I'd always been Democrat (which I haven't) and the party took a turn to embrace racism, anti-Semitism, fascism, etc., I wouldn't necessarily switch to supporting Republicans, but I'd stop being a lifelong Democrat. Those things shouldn't be thought of in terms of right/left, red/blue, but instead as a litmus test of where one stands on humanity and how much one is willing to overlook to put their party over basic human decency. |

Oh yeah I tried to go vote after work but it closed in 40 minutes and people were saying the line took an hour and 15. I was surprised. Went for tacos and a beer while I was in town.
