WA Def had their shot in the 4th quarter when they had the ball down 13-20. They had made a few key stops they needed with the momentum their way.
I really thought for a sec they were coming back. That was short lived and about 15 minutes later they were down by 3 TDs.
Oh well great season

i honestly believe that if michigan wanted to win that game with zero pass attempts, they still would have won 34-13. washington had zero answers defensively for michigan's running game, throw in michigans defense making it hard for washington's offense the first time all year, penix and brooks banged up a bit, easy dub for the wolverines.

It was 20-13 with Washington blowing multiple chances due to dropped passes or penalties by #73. All of us watching that game knew it was going one of two ways because of that and that was finally UW didn’t fuck up (the D was shutting down Michigan’s run game in the second half and just kept getting the ball back) and broke through and tied it or they didn’t and a solid team like Michigan finally would strike again and put it away because you can’t keep shooting yourself in the foot and not eventually pay for it. That’s what happened. That game was the definition of a “it was closer than the score indicated” more so than this “Michigan dominated start to finish” narrative. And I am canceling that check, Chroni. 🤪

I found myself thinking UGA woulda rolled them. I also found myself thinking they are easily the weakest champ out of the playoff era barnone. I can’t think of one they would have hung with. Does any of that matter? No. They are champs…….until it’s vacated. 😂

Beating the # 10, 2, 16, 4 and 2 teams in 5 of the last 6 games feels pretty good to me. Are they better than previous one loss champions? Guess it depends on how you’re measuring. We could have found out if Georgia was better if they didn’t lose to the team Michigan beat in the semis.
