So we are thinking to make a trip out west for a couple dates > Vacation The wife has jumped on the bus hard and really wants to do multiple nights outside of Chicago. So We are thinking 1 of 3 trips next year. LA, Colorado or SF to end the tour. SF would be most ideal that way we can go spend a few days in her hometown of Monterey after the shows. Trying to get Badgerboy, Autophil and Zach on board for the extended trip.

trying for SF tomorrow. wish us luck! JraD and wolf bros are still finding new ways to keep the songs interesting. My wife was never into the jam/music scene like any of us are, here, until me and her started dating. She's enjoyed most of the shows i've taken her too including numerous UM shows, Fare thee Well and countless others but she's never fully gotten into it. After the last Dead n Co show she was completely shown the light. It was the same day that supreme court announced they were abolishing Roe vs Wade and the band really played off that energy (best dead n co show i've seen hands down). It was a very emotional and very uplifting show for many reasons. She was shown the light that night just like all of have been in the past. Something clicked in her and she fell in love with the music. Before she would humor me and while she enjoyed certain songs she never cared enough to ask questions or fully dive in. Now shes asks questions, she wants to know about the bands history, she asks about Jerry, about Bob, about the drummers. I even come home from work and she has a dead show playing in the background while doing stuff around the house, or working or herself. She requests to put on the dead when we are partying, she even went on a camping trip with one of her best friends a couple weekends ago and said she was playing the dead any chance she could. Idk about you but I once was fully engulfed like she was and fell in love with an incredible band that also opened up my eyes and ears to other great music. Basically long story short, if she wants to hit up 4, 6, or 8 shows on this final tour because she has finally seen the light then I am all on board. For her it's all new experiences and a new love for musicians that have shaped a large part of all our lives. Interesting or not, it brings me so much joy that she is wanting to experience this all and open up her eyes and ears to this world that we all have loved and been a part of for years.

Awesome that she got into the Dead. I bet she would love it played full speed even more. I would probably go see dead and co if it was an hour away like every other year. No way I'm driving 5 hours for it. Nostalgia is good. Blowing the doors off and leaving everyone's jaws on the floor is way better.

she was partying but no psychadelics, she prefers doing those on camping trips or at the house, not in public. I was tripping my tits off though

These days I go to dead and Co shows for the scene more than the music. It was like end of the year holidays for me. I don't give a rat's ass about the birth of Jesus, but it's nice to see relatives from all over the country I haven't seen since the last time Christmas came to town.
