So many things wrong w fonzie.obviously not Italian or tough or good looking. When winkler snaps his fingers nothing happens.! Nothing! That first (or the early) seasons he at least tried to act tough, which kind of worked in that everyone reacted to him as though he was. But it wasn't at all convincing once they made him a regular character and softened him up. Leather or Pinky Tuscadero could've kicked his ass. Or maybe what passed for tough in 50's Wisco was different than someplace like Philly?
