Both actors don't seem to be naturals for the role (but that's where the acting comes in, I guess), especially in the early seasons where he was a more quietly cool low-key character than what the writers turned him into. But then I stated thinking Mickey Dolenz would've make a better Fonz than Davey Jones, Tork, or Nesmith. |

So many things wrong w fonzie.obviously not Italian or tough or good looking. When winkler snaps his fingers nothing happens.! Nothing! That first (or the early) seasons he at least tried to act tough, which kind of worked in that everyone reacted to him as though he was. But it wasn't at all convincing once they made him a regular character and softened him up. Leather or Pinky Tuscadero could've kicked his ass. Or maybe what passed for tough in 50's Wisco was different than someplace like Philly? |
