I think I watched all the sketches from the Gosling episode and it was definitely above average.

He is always one of the best. He and John Mulaney I look forward to and what’s weird is I haven’t watched Mulaney in anything else he does or has done besides one comedy special. He kills it on SNL.

I haven't watched Mulaney on snl because I've seen him in interviews and a little stand up and don't really like him. Every thing I've seen is "I used to be a hopeless drug addict, isn't that funny". I mean good for him for turning things around and all I just think he's annoying.

I know what you are saying. They thankfully let him get that out of his system in the monologue/short stand up set and he does sketches that don’t allude to that. I get it, though. If someone kinda bugs you, they bug you.

It seems he's well respected in the comedy sphere and I'm willing to believe he's a really talented writer, but yeah he just annoys me. I check some the sketches out though.
