It's total nonsense. Nobody sobers up in an inning and a half if they are drunk. If you're mad about this but ok with bars being open until 2 am, I don't know what to tell you. If I spend $50 to go see a baseball game, I don't want to be cut off an hour and 25 minutes after it started.

I was at a colts game one time and took into account the cutoff. After a long wait it was my turn and when I stepped up to the counter they put the cup on the tap. I probably didn't need that beer, but I also wasn't driving.

That's fair, I'm just not understanding why? Everyone in the stadium for a game that ends at 9:30 pm can go next door to a bar and drink for another 4 hours. Nobody should be overserved at any venue, but arbitrarily saying the 7th inning, when it could be an hour and a half after the game started doesn't make sense to me either.

Nobody should be overserved at any venue, but arbitrarily saying the 7th inning, when it could be an hour and a half after the game started doesn't make sense to me either. it doesn't make sense only for those who go home after the games. shorter games = shorter innings, so selling into the 8th means people are in their cars sooner after their last beer at the park. obviously the crowd that goes out after the game, it doesn't really apply. also should come as no surprise that the brewers were the first team to adopt this policy. gotta love the drunk wisconsites lol. |

I wonder how many of these places have been popped for serving underage folks or something... I really hope that anyone drinking a lot at any event isn't driving home afterwards but stadiums/parks seem like locations that could easily over serve folks and possibly take on liability for it. |
