Don’t believe everything. Love people if you don’t want to. Know that the ones doing harm don’t know any better. We are all just humans. Try an understand peoples point of view even if they miss something. Country music makes me cry.

Yeah, the reality is we have folks who are not sincerely humane enough or mature enough to have serious discussions on jambase. We definitely have folks that want to exploit the atrocities to stroke thier egos and make belive some moral superiority without sharing a shred of valuable content or opportunity for understanding. Its been a disgusting display. You can see the folks who are humble and make effort in thier contributions and you can tell the folks that only want to make believe they are a superior other with no intention to be civil and consider other's perspectives. That's all I got from this exercise.

It seems in this case it's aggravated by using this conflict and all the civilian casualties as a weapon in conversation for personal gain rather than any sincere attempt at developing a better understanding of the complicated nature of all that's going on over there. Maybe I'm mistaken but it looks like some folks are jumping to casting someone as a monster and manipulating the intention of thier words rather than having a civil discussion and making sincere attempts at understanding where someone is coming from and conversely, respectfully and clearly stating one's own position.

It's even worse when it's a make belive moral superiority and feigning having a sincere position on complicated and sensitive issues while not making any attempt to respectfully have a conversation about it. Because I can forsee folks using internet troll stategies to manipulate my intentions in here, I'll throw out the disclaimer that I'm not attempting to be morally superior or whatever, I just don't see how some folks can honestly say they've made a real attempt at respectful discourse here. |
