Zee, 75 pts wasn’t going to be good enough. The decision had already been made. Jordan Travis wasn’t going to be available in the playoffs. That is what the committee based it on.

I knew it was going to happen, but it’s awful for the sport. They should just pick the playoff teams before the season starts. FSU beat a top 15 team with their 3rd string QB and held them to 6 points. FSU was 2-0 against the SEC this year, once with their backup QB. Bama needed a miracle one week ago to even play in their Championship game. If the SEC is going to always have an invisible trump card based on reputation, just put that in the criteria.

I kinda like that in the last year of the 4 team playoff we have a pissed off fanbase with a legitimate gripe. It sucks for FSU fans tho.
This is why going to a larger playoff is ultimately good for the sport. More teams get in, go prove it on the field against each other. More money and TV ratings for everyone. Sure certain matchups will lose a little luster in the regular season but more games down the line will still have playoff implications.

Chroni, more SEC/Big 10 teams get to go in. The six highest ranked conference champs get an automatic bid. That leaves six spots for ESPN and like Hokie said, the committee to pick six more from the SEC/BIG 10 based on the beauty pageant. The Big 12 might steal one of those 6, and Notre Dame will Notre Dame. Just my opinion, aware I am ranting. 🤪

the early betting line on FSU/Georgia, has Georgia as a 12.5 point favorite. tells you all you need to know about how oddsmakers and the committee felt about FSU without Travis at QB. legitimate gripe about not getting in, yes, but without Travis, they weren't one of the 4 best teams currently.

don't get mad at me ya'll, i'm just stating facts. i agree FSU should have been in based on their body of work this year.
it just sucks that their QB got hurt, because if he didn't i don't think they would have had problem getting in. their backup QBs left a lot to be desired and probably was much of the reason why the committee chose to leave them out.
