I accidentally checked the weather for Davis WV this morning and was like 25 degrees?,damn I'm staying home. It's actually 45 at my house.

Damn, Z. Can the flight out get switched? I had travel insurance on the flight. Hoping I get a refund. By the time I woke up I was not going to be driving to airport in a frenzy. Ill go in a couple weeks when the weather warms back up. |

it's been in the 30's here. A huge storm just passed through, started as rain and turned into slow mid-day yesterday. Left work 30 minutes early, bosses orders, which was nice because I was able to pick up Berg from school.
The girls have been getting into video games lately. We have a switch and have been playing Mario cart and they both love it. They've not very good but they're gradually getting better by the day. It's also good incentive for berg to finish her homework and then we can play. We unfortunately having some issues with her progress at school as she is a little behind from her classmates. She's actually being evaluated for dyslexia next week through the school. She's been getting a lot of help and the school is giving her a lot of attention and helping her big time with her reading and sight words which we love and we have noticed significant progress in the last month or 2 but my wife is dyslexic and wants to make sure, if berg is. she's getting all the help she can. One thing she doesn't struggle with is math, her only issue is not having confidence or applying herself, sadly that is something I passed onto her but I will make sure it doesn't stick. Berg 2.0 is the exact opposite, for a 4 year old I believe she is very advanced. She pretty much can write any letter, knows the alphabet, can do basic math very easily and can count to 100 almost unassisted. She will be starting kindergarten in the fall and we believe she will be ahead of the majority of her class. This school stuff is stressful and it's only gonna get worse.

I got a phone interview tomorrow. I got selected to be permanent sub for history when the teacher goes on maternity leave. And I just got an email saying im up for an office job at the elementary. Everything's coming up bear.

We have been listening to lots of different styles though- everything from Chicago to Louis Armstrong, Jennifer Hartswick Band, and even some ska (Catch 22 and Mighty Mighty Bosstones). It's good to get the idea of the range of styles. I'm gonna teach him to skank too! |
