Any of y'all know how Syracuse is doing these days?
I might have a job opportunity up that way and at a similar salary which would be pretty nice since housing costs seem to be at least 25% cheaper compared with long island. My GF did her masters in Syracuse so I've spent some time up there but it was many years ago now. I remember downtown having some nice restaurants, bars and music venues but it was a small area and the city was kinda rough around the edges, a lot of abandoned buildings. I've heard that its been on the upswing the past couple years with some more investment coming in but I'm on the fence! I have a lot of other considerations as well but just curious if anyone's living there or spent any time in the area recently and has some thoughts?
