I feel with this though there is enough variety in the episodes and the content where it doesn't seem to be the SAME mudderhuckin thing everytime I mean they've prolly watched Sam n Cat & iCarly 1MILLION times each That arieane grande is annoying as all get out in them shows

Obviously most of you never experienced the "only four TV channels" phenomenon.

I experienced my dad coming in and changing whatever I was watching so he could “check the score” and then you’d have to wait 20 minutes for them to flash it on the screen.

Three network channels, 3 syndicated with all the old sitcoms and cartoons, movies, etc., and the PBS channel. There may have been one or two way up on the dial somewhere that had religious programming and I forget what other stuff I had no interest in watching. I remember the old man getting upset if you continuously turned the channel knob super fast instead of going channel by channel. Then we got one of these sometime around 1979/1980 and it opened up a whole new world. Super station in Atlanta. The channel in Boston that showed all the Bruins games. Soon after that HBO. And pops didn't get pissed off if you shoved that slider from one end to the other.

Scrambled porn. Every now and then the picture would be clear but the colors were off and it was like watching a negative version.

Was your Dad a Doctor or a lawyer?
When we first got cable we got a couple of New York City stations eventhough we were like 8 hours away. WOR and WPIX. Loved the NYC ads. Crazy Eddie's prices were insane!
Also got the Yankees games, christening my fandom.
And early HBO would just scroll all day whatever was on that evening during its hours of programming from like 7 to midnight.
