We had a small sun room above the back porch - no heat. Room for a twin bed, my dresser, a radio and a night stand. In the Spring I would move in there, out of the "large" second bedroom I shared with my brothers. In the late Fall, I would have to move back into the bedroom and we would seal "my room" off from the winter.
In the summer with all of windows open and if the wind was right you could hear the roar of Niagara Falls.

my older brother and i stayed up late watching a black and white, maybe it was 8 inch screen. twilght zone,letterman and for sure some benny hill.

Local access Channel 29 Hogan's Heros, Gilligan's Island, Bewitched, The Munsters, Star Trek(!] Ponderosa, The Rifleman and what seemed like endless hours of Tom and Jerry this is funny to me because I had basic cable growing up years later than you but I watched all those same old shows because they were still running them on "nick at night". Looney Tunes and Scooby-Doo and all the Hanna Barbera stuff also. Gomer Pyle, MASH etc |
