I know a 1st grader with a freakishly long Gene Simmons type tongue that can touch his nose. Direct consumer with no fingers involved. I can do this

Ben had the day off school so we went to the trampoline park and bounced for a couple hours. The place was crazy busy.

I've been lurking reddit and have to catch myself from posting snarky shit. Like, jokingly, but sarcastic. Sometimes seriously.
Who are all these insane people who cut their entire steak into pieces before eating it?
I just saw a picture of this poor hognose with scale rot. Most of the people in those subs should not be in the position of caring for creatures they don't know how to take care of. Pretty much every single post about a pet reptile. What's my bearded dragon trying to tell me?
It's saying, "let me the fuck out of this cage, you fucking asshole"...
Just stuff like that.

Oh my god, the mushrooms... The amount of posts where people pick mushrooms and then ask if they can eat them is absolutely fucking absurd. I say let natural selection take its course...

I'm trying really hard NOT to want to hole up in a cabin in the woods. Maybe these should have gone in the mental thread.

I remember when out mushroom picking every now and then someone would do the same.
Can you tell me which ones will get me high?
::looking in their plastic supermarket bag::
This one will, this one will either kill you or make real sick, and the rest.... hard to say. They're all mush. Next time bring a small basket or a paper bag.

TIL
Lowell George and John Kahn produced the album Shakedown Street.
I had no idea.
Am I the only one that made it this far not knowing this?
I got on a bunny trail after seeing the young Harvey Weinstein photo with Kieth and Donna, and started looking up stuff about Keith and the split from the Dead and stumbled on that jem.
Anyway….. carry on.

I knew I had read something about Lowell recently and dug it up. This was tagged onto the end of a review of Time Loves a Hero on discogs. According to Fred Tackett, “We were driving down the New Jersey Turnpike in this bus and we stopped at this pizza joint off the highway. Everybody in the band shared a cheese pizza, but Lowell bought a large pizza with everything on it, carried it to the back of the bus and he ate the entire pizza by himself. He died two or three days later. So, when people ask me, “What really killed Lowell?” I say, “It was a pizza on the New Jersey Turnpike.” www.discogs.com/release/7545248-Little-Feat-Time-Loves-A-Hero

Anyway….. carry on. One of my best buddies who got me into the dead used to tell me a story about there being mounds of cocaine in the recording studio and Lowell George was on a massive bender at the time. If I recall correctly this was recorded a year or 2 before his death. Apparently him and mickey were getting down on some fat lines and one of them knocked the plate over and a large amount of cociane fell into the shag carpeting in the studio. Like the real men they were, Lowell and Mickey grabbed a knife, carved out a square of carpet that had the devils dandruff on it and proceeded to snort up every inch of that shag carpeting.

Lowell George and Terry Kath are 2 of the most influential guitarists who were taken from this world too early. Unfortunately I feel in today's day and age most people have no idea who they are which is sad because they should go down as 2 of the best rock guitarists to ever do it.

Anyway….. carry on. What new and/or interesting stuff did you learn about the Keith/Donna/Dead split? Curious myself. I'd read Keith's musical laziness played a major factor - the well known story about Jerry not being happy that Keith was parroting his licks. And the problems within the marriage - something about Donna intentionally smashing her BMW into Keith's car at Club Front one day. Everybody wanted a change and so at some band meeting when it finally came up all were for the change. Not sure if Bobby fucking Donna at some point had any effect or not - I'd guess very minor at best since Bob's gonna Bob and everyone knows that. I'd be interesting in knowing any other stories/details. I know there's a lot of love for Brent, but imo Keith was the best keyboard player they ever had - at least in the pre-retirement years. Don't know what happened when they came out of retirement, but by then he was just playing the keyboard parts and barely making any kind of contribution at all.
