I didn't really see that many people saying they wish the bullet had killed him. I wasn't on-line seeking out that kind of content this weekend (it's not like the Queen died I think these days we way to often see a tweet from one random person that gets amplified and that turns into Liberals say or Republicans think that... My social media feed was flooded with it. Made me realize I probably don't align with the agenda of extremist liberals. I think he is a vile and evil man and I would love to see him behind bars, but I also find it foolish to think that his assassination would stop the hate or stop his base from going absolutely batshit crazy. There will be another "Trump" after him. You are seeing it in countries all over the world with these extreme conservative candidates running for office. Trump just opened the crazy floodgates.

6 million Jewish people were genocide in under a decade. The man that was behind the movement committed suicide(or fled to Argentina), there are still people who hate Jews, people who want Jew eliminated off the face of the earth. There were people like Hitler, before Hitler, and there will be people like him for generations and generations to come.

I've been thinking if the no labels group had their shit together, were a little more established and ran someone like Larry Hogan perhaps with a female moderate dem on the ticket they'd be killing it. Then I remember that the 2 parties run the show, and while they dont agree on much they do both believe its easier for them with only one other party.

There were an estimated nearly 6 million people of other groups (non-Jewish) that also were exterminated by the Nazi movement. Black, Serbs, the handicapped, homosexuals, the Poles, Soviet POW’s, Jehovah’s, political prisoners/dissenters. I think that aspect of Hitler’s rampage gets lost in the shufffle way too often.

Will this lead to or bring more peace in the future or is it creating the next generation of hatred? I can see it from both sides. I feel the level of force and our financial contribution to be a bit excessive. But then again I have no clue just a poorly informed opinion and a desire for less violence in the world.

Dude I was telling my brother last night if Kamala picked Hogan as a running mate it would be bold and extraordinary.

There will be another "Trump" after him. You are seeing it in countries all over the world with these extreme conservative candidates running for office. Trump just opened the crazy floodgates. I'm with you on thinking that no matter what happens to Trump or any other right wing populist, their "base" will not go away when they do. I think there's just certain people who are psychologically hard-wired and/or religiously indoctrinated to desire a strong, male, authoritarian leader and even if they don't exactly say it, prefer Authoritarianism over Democracy. Where I disagree is that I don't get associating (extreme) liberals with wishing anyone dead or for there to be political violence. They're not mutually exclusive and have nothing to do with each other. One deals with political policies and the other has nothing to do with policy. Someone can be for Universal Health Care, free tuition for higher education, and other other typical "extreme liberal" ideals without wanting political violence or for Trump to have been killed. First off, what is so "extreme" about these things that people feel the need to describe them as "extreme?" Are those in the Socialist Scandinavian countries where there is Universal Health Care and free university tuition "extreme?" Because they believe in those things does that not only make them extreme, but the kind of people who favor political violence and would wish Trump were shot dead? Language is important. Politicians and political parties realize this. This is why Trump refers to Dems (no matter how centrist) as being "Radical Leftists." Everyone who's not a Conservative gets labeled a Socialist or Communist, when we all know they're not accurate labels. But say it often enough and people start to believe it. "Extreme liberals" has become so normalized that even the left is now referring to themselves as "extreme." My guess is you don't actually believe this mislabeling for political purposes is accurate, or that you're intentionally advocating for it's continuance. It's just become so normalized that many don't even realize they're repeating bullshit right wing talking points and legitimizing their perspectives. Advocating for political violence and/or wishing Trump got killed may (or may not) be extreme, but it has nothing to do with so-called "extreme liberalism."

Just three kilometers from me is a hotel that Einstein and some other famous people have stayed at as guests. There's a rumor that Hitler stayed at the home of the German expatriate (and Hitler supporters) owners after his escape from Berlin - if one is inclined to believe in the first place that he did manage to escape the bunker. Strange history in Argentina as far as Peron and the Nazis. /S Mighty brave of Argentina to declare war against Germany at the end of March in 1945. /s To be fair, they had valid reasons to remain neutral at the time. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eden_Hotel

Trump/MAGA has pulled the GOP so far to the right that people are willing to overlook the policies of anyone in the GOP is against Trump to the point where they're now thought of as being moderate. Add Liz Cheney, primary era Nikki Haley, Chris Sununu, and I'm sure several others to that list. It's crazy.
