Never seen mars Volta, always one I'd check out, Deftones not so much

I just pointed it out for the 'tie the post together' synchronicity.
I can fully understand Cedric, whose wife was raped by Masterson and dog killed by the wacky but dangerous (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Snow_White) "intelligence" division well known and documented for killing pets and other intimidation tactics. The same division that Linkin Park new singer's parents belong to. $cientology also has a well documented history of forcing adherents to support members in legal situations and intimidating jurists/judges, along with the all the other well known controversies - el tiene raison.
But I wouldn't judge anyone who's a Linkin Park fan (esp. someone Lil Dude's age) who either doesn't know or knows but isn't overly concerned about a musician's personal life - people who just want to see the band because they love the music. Far as I know, new singer ain't some Tom Cruise level star expected to talk up the cult, and more like Beck; a second generation (at minimum) member who no doubt grew up in that whole not good kind of weird world, but has avoided bringing the subject up. I feel sorry for her; she's a different kind of victim. Hope she gets out the cult soon - like Beck did.
