They have put quite a bit of stuff on hdcd, but I know nothing about the format besides that I'd need to buy a player. I'm curious.

Has anybody listened to that In and Out of The Garden set that came out last year? Those shows intrigue me... No, but I just put the compilation single album on to give it a listen. Apple Music doesn't have the whole box set, just a 21 song sampler.

I'm worried that it won't sound too great, I saw you said that the new Duke 78 release sounds kind of bad.
Things got weird in the 80s.

^ That Eyes is very good. Solid China->Rider too. On to Dick's Picks Vol 2. I dig this Dark Star, excited to hear the Tighten Up jam. This is an all time favorite of mine. Only one disc DP release. Dark star jam is so sick.

The Sunshine Daydream box from 8/27/72 - the Creamery Benefit in Veneta, OR. Wicked jams, Weir cowboy tunes ... a little bit of everything. If you're into the Dave's Picks series, 2025 subscriptions have just been announced. Using a code mentioned in a Steve Hoffman site Dead thread, I checked out as "guest," used coupon code CCGNWMX15 , and got 15% off, plus free shipping. $89.67 total for the year if you still like hard copy CDs. (Four DPs plus a bonus disc.) Sort of like mini-Christmas 4x a year, especially if your brain's bad and you forget you bought a subscription. Done did it. Thanks for the coupon code Floyd!

I'm listening to Trip or Treat which is a new Halloween related compilation. Not bad, too much D & S. I'm over compilations for a while.

I'm listening to Dave's Picks Vol. 8 today (11/30/80). Interesting sound. I dig it so far. Weird bass issues during the Bird Song, it's a really solid show though. Really high energy.

I'm listening to Trip or Treat which is a new Halloween related compilation. Not bad, too much D & S. I'm over compilations for a while. I'm usually the same, but last night I listened to the exclusively D & S 'Infrared Roses' for the first time in years (figured my wife would be more agreeable to that then a 68 or 69 show). I've been listening to jam only compilations a lot lately because sometimes I get to the point where I really don't need to hear some of the songs I've already heard a million times and just want to get straight to the jammy meat; esp. when listening while stoned.

I actually forgot about that album. I think I still have it on CD tucked away somewhere.
