That one didn't work for me. lulz I haven't seen that movie in so long. None of the music stuck with me It doesn't help that none of the actors have particularly good voices and they all sing in character. Pretty insane, most likely cocaine fueled, choice. I watched Gravity last night, really solid movie. Clooney is great, it's so suspenseful. It's also only 91 minutes so it doesn't wear out it's welcome.

The Bikeriders kinda sucked. dangit i was looking forward to it. But you’re kinda harsh critic maybe you thought it was about bicycles? I was looking forward to it as well. It wasn't terrible, just not great.

That was my other choice when it came to that or Monkey Man. I let a few review reads of Bikeriders sway me to Monkey Man.

Monkey man was good. Bikeriders could have been so much better. Tom Hardy was pretty good as usual but basically none of the other characters were really interesting at all. Mike Shannon was pretty good too I guess. The interview format thing with Jodie Comers character was clunky and unnecessary.

I watched Okja yesterday. Jake Gyllenhaal being a fucking ham and some excellent directing from Bong Joon Ho. Tilda Swinton loves to play her own twin. It's odd she's done it multiple times in recent movies.

I started watching the 90s classic anime serial Neon Genesis Evangelion on Netflix. It's a 22 minute show but the animation is movie quality. It makes me want to watch Akira again. One of the episodes is a straight up homage to Star Wars, and then I noticed some of the shots in later episodes appear to be like some scenes in the new Star Wars movies especially the last movie ep 9. Interesting cinematic interplay.

I also watched Tokyo Godfathers yesterday which is a very good animated movie from Satoshi Kon (Paprika, Perfect Blue, Millennium Actress, Paranoia Agent). Really emotional, touching stuff.

I watched El Mariachi and Desperado yesterday, both are pretty solid action flicks. Some wooden acting but the movies move at a really quick pace and the shootouts are great.

Just finished watching The Witches of Eastwick, it's a pretty fun movie with an outstanding performance from Jack Nicholson. George Miller is a really frantic director and it adds so much to whatever story he tells. Dude is a genius.

I was reading some click bait article about how Tarantino said Clooney isn't a real movie star or something and that reminded again how much Tom Cruise sucks.

The Greg Lemond doc on Hulu was pretty good if you like a good sports story.

I was reading some click bait article about how Tarantino said Clooney isn't a real movie star or something and that reminded again how much Tom Cruise sucks. Yeah, in a GQ profile George said he's okay giving Quentin shit because QT said George Clooney hasn't made a memorable movie in "this millennium", truly missing how great Clooney is.

Yeah Clooney is legit. I think Tarantino just likes to troll a bit.

I'm glad Clooney gave him shit right back.
Quentin definitely likes to stir the pot and George isn't above giving people shit. He also shit talked David O. Russell in that interview. "I won't do another "good movie" with a director who's a miserable piece of shit like David O. Russell"

I watched Three Billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri last night. Very solid movie. Sam Rockwell and Frances McDormand are excellent as usual. Not as good as Martin McDonagh other flicks but worth watching. In Bruges is sort of a masterpiece (IMO)
