I'm watching The Mummy:Tomb of The Dragon Emporer right now and it's a run of the mill movie but they recast Rachel Weiz and that's a sin.

Gena Rowlands passed away last night, a real loss for the industry. She was my favorite actress, a phenomenal talent. Her performance in A Woman Under The Influence is breathtaking.

For sure, she's the old lady in The Notebook too, her son directed it. She had Alzheimers towards the end but acted for a VERY long time.

I watched Side Effects last night, really solid thriller from Steven Soderbergh. Rooney Mara is excellent, Albany gets a mention. Always gets points from me.

I watched Matrix Reloaded this morning, pretty cool sequel but some of the effects are pretty dated. Lots of cool fights and shootouts.

Watched Lady in The Water, that movie is nice to look at and that's about it. There's way too much nonsense in it. I want M. Night to make another movie with Bryce Dallas Howard. She deserves a big movie, nothing has hit for her outside of the Jurassic World flicks.

Just got back from seeing a re-release of Coraline, excellent flick. So distinct looking and masterfully directed. Keith David should voice every cat.
