That's crazy. It's seems like such an easy adaptation but it's never very well done. The one from the 70's has aged poorly and the newer adaptations aren't anything to write home about.

Watched original beetlejuice Thursday and it's still great. Saw the new Beetlejuice at the drive in last night and it was better than I expected, the whole chapel scene was really great.
It was a double feature with Coralline following but we didn't want to stay at the drive in for corraline and went home and watched it there. Corraline is a really awesome movie. I was stoked to see it again.

I watched Topaz this morning, it's a pretty average spy movie from Alfred Hitchcock. Sort of hard to follow/dull, lots of nice looking sets though.

Believe I will be waiting on Joker 2 to hit streaming….the Lady GaGa inclusion was already making it suspect for me, but apparently it’s like a musical likely because of her inclusion? Reviews are not kind and I am usually not one to base things on that (see the Marvel phases since Endgame 🤪) but going to save my money on this one.

It's definitely not going to do as well as the first one. None of the showings in my area had more than 10 seats sold, pretty weak.

I'm watching Matewan, written & directed by Schenectady legend John Sayles. Fantastic movie with a great cast, who'd think a movie about unionizing a mine would be so damn tense.
