I watched I, Tonya and Richard Jewell today. Both are pretty solid biopics that aren't run of the mill stuff. Richard Jewell implies some really illegal shit went down and I'm pretty sure there was some legal action brought against the movie.

I watched Far From Heaven yesterday, it's a very solid movie. Julianne Moore is great, as is Dennis Haysbert.

I watched Far From Heaven yesterday, it's a very solid movie. Julianne Moore is great, as is Dennis Haysbert. I also watched the Hairspray remake which was pretty good! Travolta is hammy as hell and Christopher Walken is really fun. Getting Jerry Stiller back was great as was John Waters cameo. I just finished Adaptation, what a movie. That Charlie Kaufman really loves a metatextual story. Meryl and Chris Cooper are exceptional. Cage rules.

I watched The Birds yesterday. Hadn’t seen it in probably 20-30 years. Hitchcock is in no way overrated.

I remember Adaptation and it really blew my mind when I seent it and would watch again.
We watched A Man Named Otto starring grumpy old Tom Hanks and it really yanked on the heartstrings for a ‘comedy’ but Tom Hanks typically don’t cast out in some bullshit he’s always choosing legit work it seems.
Also we watched Karate Kid 1, 2, and 3 and over these past few weekends as a fam and we’re rewatching Cobra Kai

I watched The FLy, The Thing, Sixth Sense, and Hubie Halloween. All fulfilling movies.

The Sixth Sense is so good.
I watched The Gift (2000) today. Pretty interesting movie with a loaded cast. Sam Raimis last pre-Spider-Man movie. Rosemarie Harris and Jk Simmons are in it. Nude Katie Holmes is the biggest cultural impact left by it.

I watched the Changling (1980) yesterday, it's a very good horror movie. George C. Scott was the truth.
I just finished watching In The Bedroom, it's an interesting movie about grief and emotion. Relationships are a struggle.

I watched Suspicion this morning, pretty good older movie. Cary Grant was such a movie star and incredible performer.

Trying to catch up on movies I should've seen when they came out, but for whatever reason didn't.
Gus Van Sant's 'To Die For' with Nicole Kidman, Matt Dillon, Dan Hedaya, very young Joaquin Phoenix and Casey Affleck, and cameos by George Segal and David Cronenberg as a mafia hitman.... can't believe I missed that one.

Robin Hood Prince of Thieves with Kevin Costner is easily one of the worst movies ever made. Complete cheeseball corny boilerplate phoned in 1991 goodness. Each character is as terrible as the last. It's so bad I couldn't stop watching because it never stopped being bad. It wallows in it's own mediocrity. At no point did it even remotely start to turn itself around. Awful dialogue with acting 100% of the time. Honestly I'm kind of impressed how consistently banal it was. The director however should be ashamed.

I think Christian Slater was in it and nailed the English accent and I recall Morgan Freeman tokening it up and Mary Elizabeth Masteriantonianiotino was fine ass maid and let’s not forget when movies had songs man Everything I Do I Do It For You man it’s good movie and they should stop remaking it.

Watched heathers for the first time s8nxe high school earlier this weekend. While camping, lol. The movie is so strange but really good. The interplay between Winona Ryder and Christian slater is really great. Even though the movie is sort of a joke and sort of campy, I don't think it would go over well if it was released today.
