Thanks everyone. We will be getting a new dog soon- after we fix our deck and the flower bed in the backyard. I really wasn't ready for this, Winchester was only about 9. He had a serious heart murmur caused by a birth defect that caused a leaky valve (common to Rottweilers); so the good thing is that he died peacefully in his sleep. I think it was much easier than the pain I had with my last dog who had to be put down at 17. One day he was playing fetch and having fun, the next day he was gone. Between vetting him and the cats, plus the cremation we have spent over $2500 at our vet in the last two months, one more reason to wait a while before getting another doggie! We lost Meadow at 9 too, its way too early. She had all sorts of issues, we are still paying the vet off tbh. Its frustrating, but we love them no matter what! |

yeah, the admin for my dept is super incompetent as well it blows my mind that someone can be an admin and not know basic excel and outlook functions. We just had a new director start though and he is a pretty young dude from Austria so I'm sure he's technically savvy and damn I can't wait till he realizes how incompetent this woman is.

Ooooh. My boss is 2 years older than me. We get along well and are very different. He's the director of ops. He's being groomed for VP of ops. He's going to be her boss once dude retires. I've been planting seeds since I came back. She started there after me, both in service dispatch. I think he knows she sucks.

damn, so we just put my grandma's house up on the market 10 days ago and just yesterday someone put a bid on it, we said No and then came back today offering the full asking price. Now I feel like we could have put it on the market for more but oh well, the assisted living place called us today and said there is a room available which is a wild coincidence but also pretty awesome timing. Things are gonna move a lot faster than I expected though, gotta clean this place out and box shit up asap.

man i'm not in the mood to study tonight but I have a possibly difficult midterm tomorrow, professor was super unclear as to what the format will be so i'm a little apprehensive about it.

How long did your grandparents live there?
When my grandmother died we had to clean out the house they had lived in since before my father was born. They liked to keep things. My one aunt and husband kept saying keep that, so and so might want that. I ignored them. They had months to do that shit.

20 years. I moved in here after my grandpa died to help out my grandma and over that time I've been slowly getting rid of a lot of stuff but she's moving to a much smaller place now so we still have get rid of a bunch of shit, all the furniture and fucking knickknacks, knickknacks everywhere lol
