I wish I knew how to post pictures. Probably just too lazy to learn. Yesterday Without a Net came in the mail. we just decided to move our nice sound system and record player in our Kitchen/living room. I set everything up and since time was limited I immediately put on Side E which was the Help>Slip>Frank Once Franklins tower came on i was overcome with emotion. I started crying my eyes out. Tears of absolute happiness and bliss. Without a net was the first live album (i know it's a compilation) that I remember listening to all the time as I was getting into the dead (Fillmore 69 in close second). So many memories at my buddies house who was built on the Dead, telling me all the stories as we listened to the songs. Just made me so happy to be listening to on vinyle. Without a Net was my white whale, I have hundreds, if not thousands, of albums that i would love to add to my collection but after acquiring this one I feel as if it has all come full circle. I bought this turntable used and didn't know how old the stylus was. I've put a lot of hours on it, so I got a replacement. It takes a 20 hour break in period before it is at it's optimal performance. I think it already sounds better than the old one.

I'm totally going to try to play it as much as I can tonight and tomorrow. My plan is to be in line by 6am Friday morning to try to score the Dead rsd. There's a Jerry and Garcia Grisman too. I can probably get 9 or 10 hours on it by then. I'm keeping a play log. |

This Blind Melon sounds pretty good. It's the 2014 MOV. This is probably the third or fourth time I've listened to it. I think this new stylus was needed. I don't remember it sounding this clear. There is definitely an improvement in the low end, too. Sweet.

I got an email at 2:13 for Phish vinyl. I didn't see it until just now. Hoist, Junta and Billy Breathes... sold out. My lucky streak has ended.

Phish, or their powers that be, could just release a larger quantity of units. There is surely a substantial demand for Billy Breathes and Hoist. I wish they'd make it a little easier for more folks to get their fix.
