I felt like there was already a TooL thread but I couldn't find it. So I'm starting an official tool thread.
Current TooL news
- Tickets for tour just went on sale. Was tough but we got some seats for DTE. Anyone else get tickets this tour?
- They are still claiming to be finishing up a record. I don't believe that but they did play a new song / jam on the last tour lol.
- They had a new light / screen set up last tour. I'm assuming we will see more of that this tour.
- Maynard seems more interested in APC / Sideshow act / wine then finishing record.
- Set list has been pretty much the same recently (as it has been for 6 years) with a few bust outs from old stuff that hang around set lists from tour.

I've seen em twice, and they were mailing it in then.. live videos recently seem slightly different and light shows changed..
Just goin cuz it's a festival with other acts. Wouldn't see em as a standalone anymore until they do something new imo

Tool at Broo w/Morello was quite the night..
String Cheese at the which stage directly after was the exactly right mellowing effect

Wow, Tool with Morello has to be nuts. I met Tom before his Audioslave at Lollapalooza probably 15 years ago.

Nice. He used a screwdriver as a slide when Audioslave covered Seven Nation Army. He's so sick.

I think Morello writes the best rock riffs.

tool mailing it in? I can see that at the same time its not a jamband show they play the exact same thing each night. I mean they kind of jam out one or two bigger songs but its pretty much the same song that they play along to the video screen. What exactly are you looking for? Maynard doesn't really care anymore. So he chills in the back and does his thing...
The days of him dry humping folks is over bro.

A cool spectacle to witness

I also think its funny their last album was 10,000 days and we're still waiting for a new album. What wer they trying to say you know?
I think Maynard has evolved into a an old man. TooL has pushed their message and music and it takes soooooooo much energy to do so. Im just thinking maybe Maynard and Co. arent willing to put forth the effort needed anymore. APC and wine are much more relaxing.
