Tried my hand at carving my bands logo into a pumpkin. Haven't tried to carve a pumpkin in like a decade. Pretty happy with it

I'm going to try a few this year. There is somewhat of an Alice in Wonderland theme going on at our party. I'm thinking a big Cheshire cat and a pair of pumpkins for tweedle dee and tweedle dum.

It starts tonight for me. I have one of four patterns already on, so doing three more between tonight and tomorrow, then carving two tomorrow night and two Sunday. I'm ready. So, most of the "community" (lol) carve fake pumpkins more than real pumpkins. They buy the plastic ones from Michael's and foam ones called Funkins. They carve with a hot knife and a Dremel. Burning and sanding plastic doesn't appeal to me, but they really look great and last forever, so I get it. This guy is insane. He not only carves perfectly, he paints colors on with acrylic. Look at this shit..... Anyway, I'll post pics when I can, but definitely by Sunday night. Busy, busy, busy!

I do, and I get it. I just wouldn't participate in it.

My little brother is allergic to all kinds of nuts (except his own...I think)...and if they had those turquoise pumpkins back when I was a kid, I would have been so pissed, because I got all the PB cups, snickers, butterfingers, etc that he ended up with and I never had to trade him 1 for 1.

It would be different if I lived in a little neighborhood where I knew everyone and some kids had food allergies. Then I would participate. As it stands, I get very few trick or treaters anyway and I don't know any of them.
Reese's or nothing you little bastards.

people put out a turquoise pumpkin to let trick or treaters know that they have non-candy options available at the house so kids with food allergies can still get something.

It's a plastic one from Michael's. You can't paint the carved areas on real ones. That guy has mad skills though. It's perfect.

I need a shower and a beer, and not necessarily in that order. I did these for my friends kids.
