It's a special and moving show. So glad I caught one from this tour. Yo he there with my wife crying immediately at the first song and to hear some of my favorite songs done so well. So awesome.

For real, folks, go out of your way to catch this show. It is quite a spectacle. It is performance art, drum line, theatre, rock concert in one show. One of the coolest shows I've ever experienced.

I was miracle'd into the Asheville show by a good friend. No doubt one of the best shows I've seen this year and will always stay in that "Best Show Ever" list. So fuckin' good.

Unpopular Opinion
Start Making Sense is a better show for half the dough
It was cool too see a legend do his thing, but the show lacked the energy i was expecting
Figured we could have a post tour debate now that everyone had their chance to see him
And i knew walking out the venue id be in the monority on this one, saw many posts exclaiming BSE and it was far from that for me
It was fun, but i have way more fun at a Start Making Sense show, and had seen them around the same time i saw David

I didn't think it was lacking energy at all. Some of the American Utopia stuff is slower but I thought it was mixed in well.

It was by no means a bad show, just a feeling i got.. Coulda been me
Start Making Sense just felt more like a Talking Heads show, they turn it up to 11, its loud and raw
David Bryne had a theatre rock kinda feel, which is cool
But his band walking around the stage does nothing for me when im tryin to get down

David Byrne was definitely one of the most fun and most creative shows I've ever seen. I don't know how you could even compare a cover band to that. I'll never know because I made a decision a while back to never again pay money to see live music that isn't original.

Yeah I was kinda thinking about going to their DC show next month. It's my friends bday and I think I bunch of my crew is going. I actually made the decision about a year ago while being bored at a John K show and wishing I had gone to a rave instead.
